Logan Macdonald studied an Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) at the South Australian School of Art.

Formerly, he was the Gallery Manager for GAGPROJECTS, Curator for the Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia, and has curated numerous projects including large-scale surveys of contemporary South Australia art such as CACSA Contemporary 2015, CACSA Contemporary 2012 and assisted in CACSA Contemporary 2010: The NEW NEW. Macdonald has also worked on many public art projects including IBIDEM: Temporary Public Art, Ash Keating Intervention, Richard Bell Mural on Morphett Street and many others.

Macdonald has also been a peer Visual Arts advisor for the Australia Council for the Arts, Ruby Awards for Arts South Australia and Carclew Youth Arts panels, and he is also a nominating curator for various prizes including the Guirguis Prize, Adelaide Critics Circle Awards and formerly the Qantas Foundation’s: Art Encouragement Award.  Macdonald has undertaken workshops and projects with the Adelaide City Council, Carclew Youth Arts, Helpmann Academy and the Experimental Art Foundation. From 2007-2012, Logan had been a Co-Director and Founding member of FELTspace artist run initiative and previously lectured at the University of South Australia in Public Art.

 He currently works for the City of Adelaide.
