CACSA Contemporary 2015 is the largest and most ambitious project to be undertaken by the Contemporary Art Centre of SA continuing from successes of CACSA Contemporary 2010 and 2012. Celebrating the leading contemporary art produced in South Australia, CACSA Contemporary 2015 will bring together over 40 leading professional artists and activates spaces across the city for a cultural snapshot of the state’s visual art community coinciding with the very high profile SALA FESTIVAL, August 2015. Presenting over 40 emerging, mid-career and senior artists, CACSA Contemporary celebrates and encourages South Australia’s audience participation in, and appreciation of, the contemporary cultural innovations and achievements of its own artists. This ambitious and far-reaching exhibition will show how artists have profoundly contributed to the creation and ongoing shaping of the cultural landscape of this state and the nation.
CACSA Contemporary 2015 is a unique multiple-partner enterprise between the CACSA and local visual art organisations, the tertiary education sector, State and local governments, the private sector, artists.
